The Monash Leader on 13 Sept 2016 Headlines “Focus on Traffic Headaches”. This article supports my C125 submission. I believe that Monash Council should be consulting Vic Roads before it makes Amendments to the Planning Schemes – for these Amendments fuel density and as a result, traffic. The decisions by Monash Council, as led by 4th term Mayor Cr Lake, will continue to create chaos as it has approved (to be built) over 900 apartments within 250m of the High St Rd / Springvale Rd intersection. To divert blame, in this linked article, Mayor Lake says “Vic Roads (should) improve intersections” but this council, which he leads, creates problems for all commuters and relevant agencies because it has not considered likely consequences of its decisions.
